Senior Logistics Broker – Pretoria

About the role

A full‑time Logistics Broker position is available in Pretoria, focusing on managing client and transporter relationships, ensuring compliance with documentation and credit limits, and supporting daily freight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Submit new and existing applications with correct FICA documentation per company policy.
• Obtain Credit Guarantee Insurance Cover approval and limits for all new clients before registration.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to approved credit limits.
• Provide stock and contract tonnage data to broker assistants and update daily/weekly stock sheets.
• Handle broker‑related queries promptly and accurately.
• Book and execute brokered loads on the Logistics Information System each day.
• Communicate professionally with clients and transporters, addressing feedback and queries within two business days.
• Develop new business opportunities, recruit transporters, and maintain existing relationships through regular visits.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Agricultural background is advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Excellent bilingual communication skills.
• Outgoing, spontaneous personality with a driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Target‑driven, able to work independently and develop new sales opportunities.
