About the role
Our client, a boutique law firm based in Johannesburg, is seeking a dedicated and highly organised Senior Legal Secretary to provide vital support and ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the practice.
Key responsibilities
- Typing pleadings, correspondence and all litigation‑related documentation.
- Typing various commercial agreements.
- Liaising with clients and managing the Managing Director’s diary.
- Arranging travel, scheduling internal team meetings, preparing agendas and producing minutes as required.
- Handling conference registrations, bookkeeping, billing and invoicing.
- Document management and general practice administration.
Required profile
- Diploma or certificate in office administration or paralegal studies.
- 8–10 years’ experience in a legal environment.
- Own transport.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis and scheduling software.
- Proficiency in CaseLines and Court online systems.
- Solid understanding of legal principles, compliance, corporate governance, litigation processes and document interpretation.
