Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Network International is seeking a commercially‑minded, technology‑focused Senior Legal Counsel to join its fast‑growing legal team. You will act as a trusted advisor to Product, Technology, Procurement and Africa business units, guiding the development and launch of innovative payment and financial‑service solutions across the Middle East and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation and design to launch and commercialization.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, payments, data‑privacy and consumer‑protection requirements for new products, digital wallets and financial services.
• Draft, review and negotiate product terms, conditions and collaboration agreements.
• Lead legal support for technology sourcing initiatives, including cloud, SaaS, AI and other critical partnerships.
• Partner with Africa business units on growth initiatives, commercial negotiations and regulatory interactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks while balancing commercial objectives and senior stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in fintech, payments or related financial‑services sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work closely with product, technology and procurement teams.
• Proven track record of advising on regulatory, data‑privacy and consumer‑protection matters.
• Experience supporting cross‑border initiatives, particularly in the Middle East and Africa.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a solution‑oriented mindset.
