Senior Legal Counsel AMET

About the role

Kenvue is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic corporate counsel for its Africa, Middle East and Turkey (AMET) operations. Based in Cape Town, the role works fully onsite and reports to the regional lead counsel for the RAMET cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal support for Kenvue’s business across South Africa, Sub‑Saharan Africa, North and West Africa, and Egypt.
• Advise on corporate, commercial, competition, agency, advertising, consumer‑protection and healthcare regulations within the FMCG sector.
• Act as the primary legal touch‑point for day‑to‑day operations, ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
• Support anti‑corruption compliance, including US FCPA requirements.
• Collaborate with the healthcare compliance and data‑privacy teams to manage regulatory matters.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably within FMCG or healthcare environments.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multi‑jurisdictional legal issues across Africa and the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of competition, advertising, consumer‑protection and anti‑corruption regulations.
• Willingness to work fully onsite in Cape Town.
