Senior Key Account Manager – Super Supplier

About the role

The Senior Key Account Manager – Super Supplier will lead Lesaka’s portfolio of wholesale and distributor accounts on the Lesaka (Kazang) cashless payments platform. Based in Gauteng, you will be responsible for driving payment‑volume growth, maintaining strong partner relationships, and ensuring merchants within each partner’s footprint actively use the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of wholesale, distributor and buying‑group accounts, managing relationships at both buying‑level and branch‑level.
• Host regular partner meetings, resolve queries, explore growth opportunities and track payment volumes.
• Coordinate bi‑weekly and quarterly supplier reviews, follow up on proposals and ensure commitments are met.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, troubleshoot portal access and system issues, and prevent escalations.
• Develop and execute account‑specific growth plans to increase payment volumes through expanded product ranges, merchant awareness and incentive programmes.
• Collaborate with Supplier Growth Managers and field sales teams to activate merchants and monitor outflow performance.
• Manage escalations such as payment reversals, settlement queries and platform disputes.
• Proactively address dormant or under‑performing accounts with a goal of zero inactive accounts.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in key account management, preferably within wholesale or distribution channels.
• Proven track record of growing payment or transaction volumes on a cashless platform.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor outflow performance and drive data‑based decisions.
• Excellent relationship‑building abilities with the capacity to influence partners and internal stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing complex account reviews.
