Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our wealth‑management team in Cape Town. You will lead end‑to‑end internal audits, shape governance practices and provide assurance across a fast‑paced financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on internal audits, covering risk assessment, fieldwork and follow‑up.
• Evaluate governance, risk management and internal controls, producing evidence‑based audit reports.
• Challenge remediation plans and work with business units to implement improvements.
• Collaborate with the Head of Internal Audit on audit planning, committee reporting and methodology enhancements.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Required profile

• Qualification in Internal Audit, Accounting or related discipline, preferably CA(SA).
• 3–4 years of management‑level audit experience.
• Experience in financial services is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, internal controls, governance and audit methodology.
• Understanding of IT risks and controls.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.
