Senior Interior Fit-outs Project Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading national interior design firm, is looking for a Senior Interior Fit‑outs Project Manager to join their Cape Town office. The role involves leading small project teams and delivering high‑profile corporate fit‑out projects from concept through to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small project management team, allocating work and monitoring performance.
• Collaborate with senior management on project feasibility, fee structures, margins and profitability.
• Oversee budgeting, cash‑flow management, invoicing schedules and present financials to clients.
• Create and maintain a master project programme and control drawing versions.
• Manage procurement, tendering, supplier selection and coordinate with designers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor site progress, ensure quality compliance with specifications and manage client liaison.
• Drive project close‑out, hand‑over and act as a brand ambassador for business development.

Required profile

• Project management qualification.
• 5–7 years of project management experience in the built environment with a focus on interior fit‑outs or shop‑fitting.
• Strong understanding of interior design processes and construction methods.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven organisational, coordination and numerical skills.
