Senior HVAC Technician

About the role

The Senior HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems across a hotel and its associated buildings. The role ensures optimal performance, energy efficiency and compliance with safety standards while providing technical leadership to the maintenance team.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair HVAC equipment including chillers, split units, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), ventilation and extraction systems.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to maximise reliability and efficiency.
• Diagnose complex faults, troubleshoot and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Monitor system performance, energy consumption and equipment condition, and respond promptly to breakdowns or emergencies.
• Supervise and support junior technicians, maintain accurate maintenance records and coordinate with contractors and suppliers.

Required profile

• Relevant HVAC/refrigeration qualification or recognised trade certification.
• Proven senior‑level experience as an HVAC technician, preferably in hospitality or facilities management.
• Valid refrigerant handling certification and driver’s licence with reliable transport.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays and respond to emergency call‑outs.
