Senior HVAC Technician

About the role

HVAC e Engineering & Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join our team. The successful candidate must be a qualified HVAC technician with 5–10 years' post‑trade‑test experience, strong technical fault‑finding skills and the ability to work confidently in both the field and office. The role combines hands‑on technical work with technician support, project coordination, job planning, reporting, estimating, client liaison and quality control.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex HVAC faults across various equipment types.
• Perform electrical, refrigeration and controls fault‑finding.
• Work on split units, cassettes, ducted systems, package units, chillers, ventilation and refrigeration equipment.
• Assist and mentor junior technicians.
• Support HVAC installations, commissioning, maintenance and breakdowns.
• Plan daily jobs and manage projects.
• Maintain customer sites in line with SLA requirements.
• Conduct quality‑control checks on completed work.
• Prepare technical reports, service reports and site assessments.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and technicians.

Required profile

• Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Trade Test / Red Seal.
• 5–10 years' experience post‑trade test.
• SARACCA certified / valid SAQCC Gas registration.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong commercial/industrial HVAC experience.
• Proven electrical, refrigeration and controls fault‑finding ability.
• Experience with preventative maintenance, breakdowns and commissioning.
• Experience assisting or mentoring junior technicians.
