Senior History College Teacher

About the role

Reddam House Ballito is seeking an experienced Senior History Teacher to join its vibrant academic community. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality History instruction to senior students, fostering a love of learning and supporting their overall development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and present engaging History lessons aligned with the school’s internationally recognised curriculum.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes active participation and critical thinking.
• Maintain professional standards regarding punctuality, conduct and the quality of student work.
• Continuously evaluate and refine teaching practice through reflection and professional development.
• Deliver extra lessons on two afternoons per week as required.
• Develop high‑standard teaching resources and materials.
• Respond to parent communications within 24 hours.
• Set, mark and provide feedback on examinations and other assessments.
• Write comprehensive report comments and attend school events as directed by the Head of School.
