Senior Group Accountant

About the role

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Group Accountant will lead the Group’s financial reporting, consolidation and compliance activities as the company prepares for a JSE listing. This role is central to supporting the Group’s high‑growth strategy, acquisitions and treasury management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review and consolidation of monthly, interim and annual Group financial statements in accordance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reporting packs for the CFO, Board, Audit Committee and external stakeholders, and support JSE listing documentation such as annual reports and market announcements.
• Coordinate acquisition due‑diligence, financial assessment, integration and post‑acquisition reporting for bolt‑on targets.
• Manage Group treasury functions, including cash‑flow optimisation, foreign‑exchange risk monitoring and banking relationships.
• Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, monitor performance against targets and provide financial commentary for senior management.
• Act as a finance business partner to subsidiary finance leaders, mentor junior staff and promote strong governance and internal controls.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) with a minimum of 5 years post‑articles experience.
• Proven experience in a listed‑group environment and strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex consolidation and reporting processes.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, treasury management and budgeting cycles.
