Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Noodle is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and scale AI‑powered web applications that support higher‑education institutions. You will work on modern agent‑based platforms, enhance performance, and ensure security and scalability across the stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and OpenAI’s APIs/Agents SDK.
• Contribute to Python API services and web apps built with Flask.
• Create AI‑driven user experiences, including conversational, voice, and streaming interfaces.
• Refine AI prompts to enable new product features.
• Integrate external services such as OpenAI APIs, GraphQL back‑ends, AWS Amplify, MongoDB, and LTI‑compatible learning management systems.
• Architect scalable backend APIs, service layers, and tool execution workflows.
• Own feature development from design through testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Implement automated tests and improve reliability using Sentry, OpenTelemetry, and related observability tools.
• Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholder teams to translate requirements into high‑quality solutions.
• Maintain strong engineering standards for code quality, testing, and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Next.js and TypeScript.
• 2+ years of experience with Python and a web framework such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent English communication skills.
