Senior Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a senior finance leader to own the end‑to‑end financial planning and operations of a fast‑growing fintech operating across African and global markets. You will be the primary driver of liquidity, settlement flows, and regulatory compliance, working directly with product, engineering, legal and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of financial planning for revenue streams, cost bases, liquidity needs and unit‑level profitability.
• Drive margin analysis, long‑term financial strategy and pricing optimisation.
• Develop dashboards and compliant financial reporting that translate complex data into commercial insights.
• Lead the finance lifecycle including reconciliations, balance‑sheet oversight, revenue integrity and period‑end close.
• Deliver accurate financial statements in line with international accounting standards.
• Coordinate group‑level reporting, consolidation, forecasts and governance requirements.
• Design and manage working‑capital and liquidity strategies for high‑volume, multi‑currency settlement activity.
• Oversee treasury functions, cash positioning, digital‑asset balances and fund safeguarding.
• Maintain banking, payment‑partner and exchange relationships across multiple African jurisdictions.
• Implement foreign‑exchange, hedging and counter‑party risk frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with local tax requirements and broader group tax planning.
• Partner with technology teams to embed finance into product design, automated reporting and ledger infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance functions in high‑growth fintech or digital‑asset environments.
• Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and multi‑currency treasury management.
• Experience managing statutory audits, regulatory reporting and cross‑border tax compliance.
• Ability to work closely with product, engineering, legal and compliance teams on expansion initiatives.
