Senior Finance Controller (2IC to FD)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Finance Controller to act as the second‑in‑command to the Financial Manager at Atrax Logistics SA. The role combines finance leadership with hands‑on operational finance, ensuring discipline, accuracy and strong internal controls across our logistics and freight forwarding business.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Financial Manager in day‑to‑day finance leadership and act as deputy when required.
• Design, implement and refine financial and operational SOPs, enforcing adherence across teams.
• Oversee job costing, margin control, GP reporting and review pricing structures.
• Enforce internal controls, approvals and audit standards; manage billing, accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and provide financial insight to operations and commercial leaders.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning and develop finance dashboards and KPIs.
• Lead finance and operations support teams, mentor staff and drive a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Formal degree in Finance, Accounting or Financial Management.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in operational, commercial or management finance.
• Proven experience in a senior finance support or deputy role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage teams.
• Strong track record of building processes, structures and SOPs.
• Ability to enforce standards and procedures across departments.
