Senior Electrician - Hospitality (Stellenbosch)

About the role

A well-established hospitality establishment based in Stellenbosch is urgently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrician to join its maintenance team. The role oversees electrical systems, installations, repairs and maintenance across the property and associated buildings, ensuring safety, compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment throughout guest rooms, kitchens, restaurants, offices and other facilities.
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance to keep systems safe, reliable and efficient.
• Diagnose faults, perform timely repairs and respond to emergencies, breakdowns and power failures.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior electricians and maintenance staff.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and coordinate with the Maintenance and Management teams on projects and upgrades.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with relevant trade certification and at least 5 years of senior-level electrical maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or large commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of low- and medium-voltage installations, control systems and electrical safety regulations.
• Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Previous supervisory experience with the ability to mentor junior team members.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and respond to emergency call-outs.
