Senior Diesel Mechanic / Foreman

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic / Foreman to lead maintenance operations and keep critical mining equipment running at peak performance. This hands‑on leadership position is based in Limpopo, overseeing diesel mechanics and maintenance teams while performing advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy earth‑moving and yellow‑plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee diesel mechanics and maintenance teams on site.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy earth‑moving and yellow‑plant equipment.
• Ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote safety standards.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations across all mechanical operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with earth‑moving and yellow‑plant mining equipment.
• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Trade‑tested certification in diesel mechanics.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.
