Senior Conveyancer (SSSC)

About the role

The Senior Conveyancer (SSSC) will lead and manage the full function of the Durban conveyancing team, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and compliance with firm protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Quality control and monitoring of file preparation timelines.
• Problem and dispute resolution, including mediation of conveyancing disputes.
• Ensuring compliance with all firm conveyancing protocols.
• Providing knowledge and support to agents, marketers, paralegals and developers.
• Drafting documentation and registering transfers, including final accounts.
• Supervising the DBN conveyancing team (including bonds).
• Achieving departmental and personal targets for new business and registration fees.
• Marketing activities: monitoring property‑market developments, maintaining relationships with agencies and developers, and attending industry functions.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Qualified conveyancer; public notary qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
