Senior Consultant – Proposal Bid Manager (Govt & Public Sector)

About the role

Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice is looking for a Senior Consultant to join its Proposal Centre of Excellence. You will be at the heart of the firm’s growth agenda, driving end‑to‑end bid management and proposal excellence for national, provincial and local government opportunities across South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with senior leadership in Consulting and the Growth Office to shape bid strategies.
• Manage the full bid lifecycle, from pipeline prioritisation to final submission, ensuring high‑quality proposals.
• Convert a high volume of public‑sector opportunities into winning contracts.
• Support work that delivers tangible benefits to citizens across multiple government sectors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bid or proposal management, preferably within the public sector.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence decision‑making.
• Strong analytical mindset and excellent written communication skills.
