Senior Compliance Officer

About the role

We are seeking an admitted attorney to join a leading multinational renewable energy company as a Senior Compliance Officer. Based in Cape Town with a hybrid work model, you will help shape compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions and support the company’s sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and risk assessments, focusing on business development and contractual requirements.
• Develop, maintain and update compliance policies and procedures to prevent illegal or unethical conduct.
• Support the company’s risk assessment processes and identify compliance risks related to laws, regulations and industry standards.
• Investigate and evaluate the ethical standards and reputation of counterparties and potential partners.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on compliance program implementation, incidents and risk mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Admitted attorney.
• Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in renewable energy, mining or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Competitive salary between R1,200,000 and R1,500,000 per year (includes medical and provident fund, excludes performance bonus).
