Senior Clinical Trial Manager – Oncology

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Clinical Trial Manager – Oncology to work remotely from South Africa. You will join the sponsor’s Development Operations team, managing individual clinical trials and contributing to the sponsor’s pipeline through accurate planning and efficient execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex Phase I‑IV oncology clinical trials as part of a global operations team.
• Oversee CROs and ensure quality compliance for confirmatory trials.
• Lead CRO and vendor selection, negotiation, and management.
• Coordinate global trial activities, including site monitoring and patient enrollment.
• Develop and review clinical documents such as protocols, monitoring plans, and investigator brochures.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Data Management, Drug Safety, Legal, Finance, and Regulatory teams.
• Estimate, track, and analyze vendor financial spend.
• Address issues with investigational sites, CRAs, and CROs through action plans.
• Negotiate contracts with clinical trial service vendors.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with sponsor SOPs, FDA, and ICH guidelines.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in clinical trial project management, preferably across international trials.
• Strong collaboration and clear communication skills.
• A patient‑focused mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
