Senior Business Development Manager, Projects, Air & Sea

About the role

DSV South Africa is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead the growth of Air & Sea project logistics across the Southern Africa region. You will be responsible for retaining and expanding relationships with key EPCM clients, driving sales targets, and supporting the DSV Project Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales strategy for SSA project logistics, targeting new business opportunities and pipeline growth.
• Own the end‑to‑end tender process, from opportunity identification to bid submission.
• Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders and bodies.
• Collaborate with internal business units to create customized project solutions.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to enhance DSV’s value proposition.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements on key trade lanes.
• Coordinate resources and manage timelines to meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in logistics or supply‑chain business development.
• Proven track record of meeting sales growth targets and responding to tenders.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing logistics projects.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel locally and internationally.
• Matric qualification; National Diploma, B. Degree or B. Tech preferred.
