Senior Business Development Manager (Permanent)

About the role

The Special Investigating Unit is seeking a senior professional to lead business development initiatives across the province and nationally. You will identify, evaluate and pursue opportunities that expand the SIU’s service footprint while managing allegations related to business development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development plans and strategies.
• Market SIU services actively within the province and nationwide.
• Oversee registration, assessment and processing of business development cases.
• Ensure quality assurance, reporting and document management.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, budgets and staff performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law or related NQF 8 qualification; postgraduate management degree advantageous.
• 6‑8 years of business development experience in the public sector, including at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of public‑sector legislation (PFMA, MFMA, Treasury regulations) and ethics.
• Proven leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
