Senior Business Consultant

About the role

The Senior Business Consultant drives business performance, operational excellence, and strategic growth across a portfolio of retail stores. Partnering with store management and key stakeholders, the role uses data‑driven insights, coaching, and development initiatives to improve sales, profitability, customer experience, compliance, and employee performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze sales, profitability and operational performance; develop and implement improvement strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
• Act as a trusted advisor to store managers and regional leaders, identifying opportunities and leading strategic projects to boost productivity and customer engagement.
• Evaluate store operations for compliance with standards, driving continuous improvement in efficiency, service and profitability.
• Build strong relationships with store teams, senior leadership and support functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Mentor and coach store managers, identify training needs and support talent development and succession planning.
• Monitor customer service standards and satisfaction metrics, recommending initiatives to enhance the customer experience.
• Prepare detailed performance reports, conduct trend analysis and provide regular updates on strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Commerce, Retail Management, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in retail management, business consulting or operations management, preferably with multi‑site exposure.
• Proven track record of improving business performance and achieving financial targets.
• Experience managing stakeholders at various organisational levels.
