Senior Business Analyst – Functional Configuration Specialist – Finance and Procurement

About the role

The client, a pharmaceutical company, is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to act as a Functional Configuration Specialist, bridging finance, procurement and technology. The role focuses on analysing, designing, configuring and implementing IT systems to improve operational efficiency in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business information requirements and translate them into system and functional specifications.
• Evaluate existing systems and processes, identify shortcomings and propose improvements.
• Design, configure and implement application solutions, including Oracle EBS and other software packages.
• Lead application projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with specifications and timelines.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, business process specifications and supporting procedures.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement and other stakeholders to align technology solutions with operational needs.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Finance or equivalent.
• 10+ years of business or systems analysis experience.
• Strong financial background with understanding of financial results and reporting.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG sector.
• Proven Oracle EBS R12 implementation and support experience.
• Project management experience and ability to engage senior finance stakeholders.
