Senior Business Analyst – Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in financial services, fintech or banking to join a high‑performing technology environment in Cape Town. The role involves analysing business needs, identifying improvement opportunities and translating requirements into scalable, cost‑efficient technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business processes, identify optimisation opportunities and define business rules.
• Elicit, analyse, validate and document functional requirements and solution specifications.
• Evaluate potential solutions on the basis of business value, cost, risk and feasibility.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements‑gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Provide clear, business‑focused recommendations and act as a trusted advisor across business and technology teams.
• Support solution design, validation, testing and implementation throughout the SDLC.
• Identify dependencies, risks and impacts across processes and systems.
• Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, fintech or banking.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder‑management and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work across multiple business areas, systems and end‑to‑end processes.
• Experience delivering solutions that are commercially viable and aligned with organisational objectives.
• Senior‑level expertise with a track record of influencing decisions and driving continuous improvement.
