Senior BIM Modeller - Electrical, Data Center

About the role

The Senior BIM Modeller – Electrical will support data‑center projects by creating and managing detailed 3‑D electrical models in Revit. You will work across all project phases, ensuring designs meet client, national and international standards while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Model electrical installations in Revit 3D, including LV and MV systems.
• Prepare and manage schedules, estimates, progress reports and procurement data.
• Develop and check load lists, single‑line diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Perform hazardous‑area classification, motor start‑up and protection scheme design.
• Design cable routing, smoke detection, lighting calculations, and earthing systems.
• Create and customise MEP Revit families and content.
• Utilise vendor data, conduct squad checks, and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Generate bills of quantities from Revit and manage progress and quality‑control activities.
• Produce project handover and close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of BIM modelling experience in the built environment.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit with ability to model electrical systems with limited supervision.
• Intermediate knowledge of other core discipline‑specific software.

Required skills

• Autodesk Revit (MEP, family creation and customisation).
• LV and MV electrical drafting and modelling.
• Load list creation, single‑line and network diagram development.
• Electrical schematic and hazardous‑area classification.
• Motor start‑up and protection scheme design.
• Cable routing, smoke detection and lighting calculation.
• Earthing risk assessment and system design.
