Senior Back End Developer (Java, Python, Node.js, Kubernetes, Serverless)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Back‑End Developer to join a dynamic global technology environment and contribute to innovative, cloud‑native software solutions. The role involves designing, building, deploying and operating production‑ready backend applications in a highly scalable, distributed landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and operate production‑ready backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Build scalable, resilient micro‑services using containerised architectures (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless components on AWS.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform).
• Apply automated testing strategies including unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests.
• Monitor applications, ensure observability, logging and incident response in a 24/7 production environment.
• Collaborate with customers, internal teams and external technology partners while mentoring junior developers.

Required profile

• 10+ years of production experience in backend software development.
• Relevant IT degree or equivalent practical experience; AWS certifications are a plus.
• Proven ability to design, develop and operate distributed, cloud‑native systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Required skills

• Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js.
• Microservices architecture, RESTful API design.
• AWS services: Kubernetes, Serverless, API Gateway, CloudWatch, ECS, Lambda, OpenSearch, RDS, S3.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), Git.
• Automated testing: unit, integration, end‑to‑end.
• Monitoring and observability tools.
• Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams (advantageous).
