Senior Architectural Technologist (Candidate Level)

About the role

Citra is seeking a Candidate Senior Architectural Technologist to join its integrated design and construction team in Cape Town. The role offers hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle, working closely with architects, engineers and contractors while applying cutting‑edge digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Support design studies, create physical and digital models, and prepare graphic presentations and renderings for client meetings.
• Produce and modify design development (SACAP Stage 3) and technical documentation (SACAP Stage 4) drawings in Revit under the supervision of a Project Architect.
• Manage project files, drawing registers and communication records to ensure accurate version control.
• Research National Building Regulations, local zoning schemes and by‑laws to guarantee compliance.
• Assist in coordinating architectural drawings with internal engineers and external consultants.
• Attend site visits and meetings, take minutes and observe construction progress.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a professional degree in Architecture (BTech, BArcHons, or MArch) from an accredited institution.
• Registered or eligible for immediate registration as a Candidate Architectural Technologist, Candidate Senior Architectural Technologist or Candidate Architect with SACAP.
• Strong desire to learn, take instruction and apply academic knowledge to real‑world challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a highly motivated work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit for architectural drafting and modelling.
• Experience with Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with Adobe Suite.
• Knowledge of Rhino.
