OfferZen is seeking a seasoned Senior Angular Engineer to join its hybrid team in Johannesburg. The role involves leading the development of sophisticated web applications, overseeing the full software lifecycle from design to maintenance, and driving innovation within a forward‑thinking software organization.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop high‑quality, scalable front‑end solutions using Angular.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into elegant user interfaces.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and maintain high code quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
• Stay current with Angular, RxJS and emerging front‑end technologies, advocating their adoption where appropriate.

Required profile

• Approximately 10 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on front‑end development.
• Proven expertise in building complex applications with Angular and RxJS.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and best engineering practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
