Senior Accountant – Property Development (Cape Town CBD)

About the role

Growing property development and investment group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This permanent, fully on‑site role requires strong technical accounting skills, solid property or construction industry experience and in‑depth hands‑on expertise with Sage 300.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting across multiple entities and development projects.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and oversee month‑end and year‑end processes.
• Account for property development, construction and project‑related expenditure, monitoring budgets, cash flow and financial controls.
• Handle accounts payable, receivable, VAT and statutory reporting, and maintain banking and cash‑flow requirements.
• Utilise and support Sage 300, including system processes, reporting and continuous improvements.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 6–8 years of accounting experience, including senior‑level roles in property development, construction or investment.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Sage 300 and strong knowledge of South African accounting principles.
• Experience managing multiple entities, projects and cost centres is advantageous.
