Senior Accountant

About the role

We are a leading organisation in the gaming industry seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our financial records. The role focuses on revenue recognition for lottery sales, prize payout management, and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately manage and report revenue recognition across various lottery products in line with accounting standards.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements, monthly management reports and capital expenditure reports for management, the board and the National Lottery Commission.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, monitoring financial performance and analysing variances.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, National Lottery Commission regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks while strengthening the accounting control environment.
• Process financial transactions and reconciliations within defined ageing parameters.
• Oversee control, monitoring and safeguarding of business assets, including evaluation of capital projects.
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and timely financial information.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑articles experience.
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of sales transactions, claim settlements and prize payouts with strong financial controls.
• Experience providing financial analysis to support strategic initiatives such as new product launches and expansion projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Exceptional organisational and time‑management capabilities, consistently meeting deadlines.
