Senior Accountant – Group Financial & Statutory Reporting

About the role

Komatsu South Africa is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead group financial and statutory reporting from its Germiston head office. The role involves preparing consolidated financial statements, statutory reports and coordinating with the Holding Company to ensure compliance with IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidated and statutory reports.
• Maintain reporting timetables and stay current with IFRS standards and relevant legislation.
• Produce ad‑hoc and specialised reports for the Holding Company and senior management.
• Draft reporting templates, identify process bottlenecks and implement efficiency improvements.
• Provide first‑line query resolution and guidance on group reporting matters.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting.
• Professional accreditation as CA(SA) and completion of SAICA articles.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in complex consolidated reporting environments.
• Strong conceptual and diagnostic abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data manipulation.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting.
• Ability to work with large databases of financial information.
