Senior Account Executive – Cloud & Managed Services

About the role

The Senior Account Executive will drive revenue growth and manage key accounts for IT services and software solutions, focusing on cloud, OpenShift, Red Hat, Elastic and managed services. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will work closely with existing and new customers to identify opportunities, expand relationships and ensure long‑term success.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and execute revenue growth opportunities within strategic accounts, developing detailed account plans and leading upsell/cross‑sell initiatives.
• Manage complex sales cycles from lead generation to deal closure, owning a multi‑million Rand quota and negotiating high‑value contracts.
• Serve as primary contact for key accounts, conduct quarterly business reviews with C‑level stakeholders and maintain a 95%+ renewal rate.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts (85%+ accuracy) and document all activities in Zoho CRM, escalating risks promptly.
• Collaborate with pre‑sales, technical and customer‑success teams to design and deliver tailored solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends in cloud, OpenShift, Red Hat and managed services, acting as a thought leader for clients.

• Effective negotiation and deal‑closing experience with multi‑year contracts.
