Security Operations Manager – SecOps

About the role

The Security Operations Manager will lead and manage critical security operations across endpoint, identity, email, network and Azure cloud environments. This hybrid role (one day remote per week) is based in Stellenbosch and requires a hands‑on leader who can combine operational oversight with deep technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day security operations and drive continuous improvement.
• Own security tooling, policies, controls, reporting and compliance.
• Coordinate activities between the SOC, infrastructure teams, system owners and business units.
• Ensure incidents, vulnerabilities and compliance issues are resolved within service‑level agreements.
• Identify and implement automation to increase operational efficiency.
• Manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint coverage, configurations, baselines and threat response.
• Oversee Nessus vulnerability scanning, scanner health, exclusions and remediation tracking.
• Produce clear security, risk, vulnerability and compliance reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience leading security operations in a complex environment.
• Strong ability to coordinate with SOC, infrastructure and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in a hybrid setting and based in Stellenbosch.
