About the role
We are seeking a Security Officer for a property in Gauteng, Johannesburg. The role involves maintaining safety, monitoring access, and responding to incidents to ensure a secure environment.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles and people onto the property.
- Investigate alarms or disturbances and take appropriate action.
- Write reports on property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Call for police or fire assistance in emergencies.
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and a security presence.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Relevant security qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience as a security officer or similar role.
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
- Familiarity with report writing and strong observation skills.
Required skills
- Experience with surveillance systems.
- Ability to operate detecting devices for screening individuals.
