Security Controller – Talent Pool – Mpumalanga

About the role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies are seeking a Security Controller for their Mpumalanga talent pool. The role focuses on on‑site security response, coordination with an off‑site CCTV monitoring centre, and safeguarding high‑risk stock across the Acornhoek store.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site security operations and remain vigilant to identify suspicious activity.
• Coordinate with the off‑site CCTV centre for footage requests, incident verification and evidence retrieval.
• Respond promptly to alerts, assist guests, customers, suppliers and employees, and enforce opening/closing procedures.
• Manage and monitor high‑value stock, investigate shrinkage, damages and authorised write‑offs.
• Investigate purchase disputes in real time, liaise with the monitoring centre and produce incident reports.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with PSIRA registration.
• Minimum 2 years retail security experience in a shopping‑mall environment.
• Knowledge of POPIA for handling CCTV footage and personal data.
• Ability to prepare statements and handle evidence for potential courtroom proceedings.
