Scrum Master

About the role

RedM Professional Services is seeking a senior Scrum Master to lead self‑organising Scrum teams in Johannesburg. The role focuses on applying Agile and Scrum practices, removing impediments and driving delivery of digital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate daily Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Coach teams on Agile principles and self‑management.
• Identify, track and eliminate blockers that affect team performance.
• Collaborate with product owners to ensure clear backlog refinement.
• Promote continuous improvement and adoption of Kanban where appropriate.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Scrum Master.
• Relevant degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (B.E, M.Sc, BCA, MCA).
• Agile certifications such as CSM, CSP, SAFe or equivalent.
• Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, web and mobile channels, and JIRA is an advantage.
• Demonstrated drive for results, change leadership and strong collaboration skills.
