SAP CPI Integration Developer

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP CPI Integration Developer to join their SAP Integration team, working remotely from Johannesburg, Durban or Cape Town. The role involves designing, developing, implementing and supporting enterprise integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP CPI integration flows (iFlows) and message mappings.
• Build routing logic, transformations, exception handling, and integrations between SAP S/4HANA and third‑party applications.
• Configure adapters such as REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, SFTP and JDBC.
• Design enterprise integration solutions following SAP best practices and implement reusable frameworks.
• Develop API‑led and event‑driven architectures, publish, secure and monitor APIs using SAP API Management and SAP BTP services.
• Perform unit, integration and UAT testing, manage deployment across environments and maintain version control.
• Monitor CPI message processing, troubleshoot failures, conduct root‑cause analysis and provide Level 2/3 production support.
• Produce technical design documentation and collaborate with functional consultants, analysts, architects and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience developing SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) solutions.
• Strong experience with SAP Integration Suite and integrating SAP S/4HANA with third‑party platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP BTP, SAP API Management and SAP Cloud Connector.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
