Sales/Business Development Representative – Germiston

About the role

This position is for an experienced sales professional to manage and grow an existing customer portfolio for an international courier and freight forwarding client. You will be responsible for both retaining current accounts and actively pursuing new business across Gauteng.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, retain and grow an established portfolio of customers.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities throughout Gauteng.
• Conduct regular face‑to‑face customer visits and sales meetings.
• Recommend appropriate courier and freight forwarding solutions and prepare quotations.
• Negotiate commercially viable agreements while protecting margins.
• Achieve monthly sales, revenue and portfolio growth targets.
• Maintain accurate customer, sales and opportunity information in CRM systems.
• Analyse sales reports and customer data to prioritize activity.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience within the courier and freight forwarding sector.
• Demonstrated success in external sales, business development and account management.
• Strong consultative, solution‑based selling and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage and grow existing accounts while developing new business.
• Excellent relationship‑building and customer management abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence, own reliable vehicle and clear criminal record.
