Sales Representative – Logistics & Cross‑Border Transport

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Sales Representative to generate new business and build lasting customer relationships in the logistics and cross‑border transport sector. You will prospect, prepare quotations, and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings while working closely with the operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach businesses needing domestic and cross‑border transport, generating leads via calls, emails, networking and visits.
• Gather accurate shipment details and prepare quotations in coordination with the Director and operations team.
• Negotiate within approved pricing and margin guidelines and convert quotations into confirmed bookings.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, quotations and customer interactions, providing weekly pipeline reports.
• Support payment follow‑ups, resolve customer queries and ensure a clear handover to operations.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent qualification with at least two years of B2B sales experience, preferably in transport, logistics or freight.
• Strong telephone, email and face‑to‑face communication skills, confident in pricing discussions and negotiation.
• Ability to manage a sales pipeline, prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally for customer meetings.

• R15,000 gross basic salary per month plus R4,000 cellphone and travel allowance (total R19,000 fixed).
