Sales Representative (External) – Pretoria

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and results‑driven External Sales Representative to service retail stores in the Pretoria/Centurion area. You will be the face of our products, building strong relationships, ensuring optimal product placement, and driving sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify prospects and generate leads to exceed monthly sales targets.
• Service existing retail accounts and maintain positive business relationships.
• Ensure products are well‑merchandised, correctly stocked, and prominently displayed.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment with stores.
• Conduct in‑store product training, promotions, and demonstrations.
• Complete daily/weekly call cycles, reporting, and administrative tasks.
• Provide market feedback on trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
• Learn technical details of products to explain alternative uses.
• Process orders, credits, and follow‑through on customer inquiries.
• Attend sales training events, expos, and in‑store demonstrations.

Required profile

• Grade 12; tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail, hardware or power‑tool sales.
• Valid driver’s licence with willingness to travel and stay overnight.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, reliable and professional attitude.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Organised with strong planning and time‑management abilities.
• Team player with a positive, target‑driven mindset.

What we offer

• Gross package: Basic salary plus commission.
• Incentive: R1 500 per month when target is reached.
• Medical aid: 50% company contribution for employee, spouse and children (optional after 3 months).
