Sales Representative – Cape Town

About the role

An opportunity to generate new business, strengthen existing customer relationships, and meet sales targets by promoting products and solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue objectives while growing sales within existing customer accounts.
• Develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory and conduct regular customer visits and needs assessments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring accurate customer records and engagement history are kept.
• Prepare and submit accurate quotations and proposals, and negotiate pricing and terms within approval frameworks.
• Present products professionally and accurately while maintaining in‑depth knowledge of products and solutions.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends while managing sales opportunities through to closure.
• Coordinate with sales administration, operations, and service teams, and support after‑sales handover and customer onboarding.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of sales experience in an industrial, equipment, or technical services environment.
• Matric qualification.
• Proven track record in sales.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem‑solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, accountability and strong ethics.
• Motivated, ambitious, assertive, confident, results‑driven.
• Relevant qualification in Technical Sales, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Business Management (nice‑to‑have).
• Experience with forklift trucks, earthmoving equipment, cleaning equipment, compressed air systems or similar industrial products (nice‑to‑have).
