Sales Person – Freight & Courier Services

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, target‑driven Sales Person to manage and expand an existing customer portfolio while generating new business in the freight and courier sector. You will represent a globally recognised brand, building strong relationships and delivering tailored logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a portfolio of existing customers while prospecting new accounts.
• Identify customer pain points and propose appropriate freight and courier solutions through consultative selling.
• Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets based on prior performance.
• Negotiate contracts, protecting the company’s commercial interests.
• Conduct regular customer visits and keep accurate interaction records.
• Prepare and present proposals confidently to both prospective and existing clients.
• Update CRM and other sales tools with precise information.
• Analyse sales data to uncover new business opportunities.
• Stay informed on competitors, market trends, and industry developments.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Proven experience in freight, courier, logistics or a related field.
• Strong, target‑driven sales track record.
• Consultative selling ability with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
• Own reliable vehicle; travel expenses reimbursed per SARS rates.
• Valid driver’s licence and clean criminal record (required for DHL approval).
