Sales Manager - Poultry (Johannesburg South)

About the role

Task Foundry Solutions is a well‑established food ingredients and manufacturing business seeking an experienced Sales Manager for its specialised poultry division. The role blends commercial leadership with technical food‑application expertise to drive growth, manage customer relationships and oversee profitable projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee commercial and technical activities of the Poultry division.
• Develop and implement sales and business‑development strategies.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing poultry‑sector customers.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the poultry market.
• Lead customer projects aimed at increasing sales volumes and profitability.
• Collaborate with technical, marketing and operational support teams.
• Conduct hands‑on product testing, customer trials and technical demonstrations.
• Provide technical and commercial guidance on poultry ingredients and food applications.
• Monitor market developments and propose new product or growth initiatives.
• Travel extensively to meet customers and ingredient partners and report performance to senior management.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Food Technology, Food Science or Agriculture with a focus on Animal Science (MBA advantageous).
• 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the poultry industry.
• Strong commercial and sales background with technical ingredients experience.
• Proven ability to manage technical and commercial projects.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
