Sales Manager – Motor Industry (Johannesburg)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our motor‑industry sales team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving both new and used vehicle sales, ensuring targets are met while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of Sales Executives.
• Drive new and used vehicle sales to achieve monthly targets.
• Monitor sales performance, KPIs, leads and conversion rates.
• Coach and develop team members to maximise their performance.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high service standards.
• Oversee stock levels, pricing, deals and gross profit margins.
• Collaborate closely with Finance & Insurance (F&I) and senior management to optimise sales.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the motor industry.
• Strong background in both new and used vehicle sales.
• Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and closing abilities.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and commercial acumen.
• Valid driver’s licence.
