Sales Manager – Maritime Cranes

About the role

The company, a leading manufacturer and supplier of maritime equipment, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the maritime crane portfolio in KwaZulu‑Natal. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role is the primary commercial link between factories, dealers, partners and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve agreed machine sales targets and contribute to sustainable revenue growth.
• Meet monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs covering customer engagement, pipeline development and order intake.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, business partners and factories.
• Maintain deep technical and commercial knowledge of maritime crane configurations and innovations.
• Travel locally, regionally and internationally on short notice to support customers and business development.
• Prepare accurate commercial offers, support tender submissions and coordinate with internal departments.
• Provide weekly feedback on sales calls, market intelligence, pipeline status and results.
• Deliver professional presentations to customers, internal stakeholders and industry audiences.

Required profile

• Relevant Degree or NQF7 qualification.
• Minimum 4‑5 years of capital equipment sales experience, preferably in maritime cranes, port equipment or heavy construction machinery.
• Established network within the maritime or port logistics market is advantageous.
