Sales Executive – Johannesburg (Exhibition Sales)

About the role

We are looking for a driven Sales Executive to grow our portfolio of market‑leading exhibitions in South Africa. The role is based in Johannesburg CBD and focuses on generating new business, managing client relationships and delivering strong sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive exhibition and sponsorship sales through new business development and account management.
• Identify, prospect and secure new exhibitors while expanding existing client relationships.
• Conduct face‑to‑face meetings, networking and attend industry events to generate leads.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals and post‑sale account management.
• Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, contracts, floorplans and exhibitor records.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations and Finance to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Promote events and the company brand through networking and LinkedIn.
• Identify partnership opportunities with industry associations to expand market reach.

Required profile

• Proven B2B or exhibition sales experience with a strong track record of achieving targets.
• Hunter mentality with a passion for business development and winning new clients.
• Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong administrative abilities and experience using CRM systems.
• Highly organised with great attention to detail and time‑management.
• Commercially driven with the ability to convert opportunities into revenue.
• Team player who takes ownership of individual sales targets.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, exhibitions and industry events.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of R35 000 – R40 000 CTC, depending on experience.
• 30 % commission on sales.
