Sales Development Representative – Remote (South Africa)

About the role

SocialTale, a TikTok Shop specialist agency, is looking for its first dedicated Sales Development Representative. You will own the top of the sales funnel, generating a steady flow of qualified discovery calls with high‑growth DTC brands.

Key responsibilities

• Run personalised outbound outreach via cold calls, email and LinkedIn to a defined list of target brands.
• Respond quickly to warm inbound leads and qualify them against internal criteria.
• Book and confirm qualified discovery calls for the closing team while protecting show rates.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in the CRM to ensure pipeline reliability.
• Learn TikTok Shop and social commerce concepts to speak credibly with senior brand decision‑makers.
• Achieve and exceed monthly targets for qualified calls held.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in an SDR, BDR, appointment‑setting or outbound sales role, preferably B2B.
• Excellent spoken English with a confident, professional phone presence.
• Strong written English that feels personal, not templated.
• Consistent track record of meeting or surpassing sales/booking targets.
• Coachable, curious and disciplined enough to learn a new category quickly.
• Resilient to rejection and able to maintain consistent outbound activity.
• Organised, process‑driven and experienced with CRM tools such as HubSpot.

Required skills

• HubSpot or similar CRM platform.
• LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
• Slack.
• Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

What we offer

• Fully remote role based in South Africa with a shift overlapping UK and US business hours.
• Base salary R30,000‑R40,000 per month (depending on experience) plus uncapped commission.
• Professional home‑office setup requirements (reliable laptop, high‑speed internet).
