Sales Consultant - Service, Maintenance & Small Works Growth

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Consultant to drive sustainable revenue growth for a fire‑protection services company, focusing on service, maintenance and small‑works projects. The role involves acting as a trusted technical advisor to facilities managers, insurers and commercial property owners across Johannesburg and surrounding regions.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while meeting gross‑margin expectations.
• Build a balanced portfolio prioritising recurring service & maintenance revenue, high‑frequency small works and margin‑secure projects.
• Develop and actively manage a qualified sales pipeline.
• Prepare technically sound, commercially viable quotations compliant with standards.
• Prospect and acquire clients such as facilities/property managers, logistics operators, insurers/brokers and commercial/industrial owners.
• Conduct quarterly client engagements to identify compliance gaps and upgrade opportunities.
• Respond to enquiries within 2 working hours and issue accurate quotations within 24 hours.
• Attend site visits to clarify scope and ensure quality outcomes.
• Maintain involvement throughout the job lifecycle – proposal, clarification, execution and handover.
• Record activities in CRM and internal systems to support invoicing and compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with operations, service teams and subcontractors for seamless delivery.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Minimum 3 years B2B sales experience, preferably in fire protection, construction, facilities management or building services.
• Hands‑on understanding of the fire‑protection industry and strong commercial acumen.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
• Tertiary qualification in sales, marketing or fire protection is advantageous.
