About the role
The Sales Consultant will promote and sell the bank’s product portfolio to existing and prospective clients. The role involves generating new leads, managing inbound requests, and building lasting relationships to drive revenue and meet collection targets.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve customer growth, revenue and collections targets as defined by the bank.
- Execute outbound calling campaigns and respond to inbound inquiries to convert sales opportunities.
- Identify, develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, including cross‑selling and up‑selling of products.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, prospect data and activity tracking.
- Conduct professional financial needs analyses to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to management.
- Support branch marketing initiatives, referrals and community events.
- Ensure compliance with risk and fraud mitigation procedures, including biometric verification.
Required profile
- Minimum NQF Level 6 FSCA‑aligned or business‑related qualification (RE5 preferred).
- At least 2 years of sales and client‑service experience with full product knowledge.
- Proven ability to meet activity metrics and sales targets.
